It's Fun to Talk About Jesus

Maple wood Academy Evangelistic Series

Enthusiasm about witnessing for Jesus is raging at Maplewood Academy. Throughout the month of February, students at MWA preached—yes, preached!— sermons five nights a week to the residents of the Hutchinson, Minnesota area. But there was plenty to do for everyone—even those who chose not to preach! Some of us were involved each night throughout the series helping with health presentations, children’s programs, registration, greeting, ushering and special music.

It was awesome to see so many people interested in the prophecies of the Bible. Many questions that people have about the books of Daniel and Revelation were answered each night by these young Bible scholars. We students love Jesus and we’re willing to make sacrifices to fulfill the ‘great commission’ He gave us in Matthew 28:19.

We even used animated power-point presentations to make our lectures more interesting and help our main points stay in people’s minds! We weren’t afraid to tackle subjects such as The Mark of the Beast, The Sabbath, Signs of the Times, Death, and the Second Coming of Jesus. Of course, we had to study quite a bit before our presentations, but the Holy Spirit helped both us and our listeners.

Some people may hear about Revelation seminars, like this one at MWA, and think that it would be boring. But let me be the first to say that these riveting meetings were anything but boring. As a presenter in the seminar and a student at Maplewood Academy, I certainly have experienced a powerful jumpstart in my personal walk with God. The last few weeks I have been blessed and energized by the truths that I’ve learned from God’s word. These truths give me the desire to be an effective soldier in Christ’s last-day army.

The spiritual atmosphere that is Maplewood Academy has changed my life and the lives of many others. I’m excited to be so involved in this thrilling revival of God’s truth. I have no doubt that we are living in the last days of earth’s history. I can see how important it is to know all these truths from God’s Word. I want to live my life according to the teachings of the Bible.

The soon return of our Lord and Savior is real! One of my favorite promises of God is in Matthew 24:14. It says, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” This is our desire at Maplewood Academy—the desire to help preach the gospel to the entire world. Then Jesus will come to take His children home.
