Get Involved in Living Healthy

So, what can you do to get involved? Here are seven ideas to get you started! Tell us what you’ve tried—we want to hear from you.

  • Spend time alone with Jesus everyday
  • Organize a church-wide bike-a-thon to
    benefit a worthy cause
  • Prepare a balanced meal for your family
  • Volunteer to help out at a Stop Smoking
    program in your community
  • Plant a vegetable garden
  • Rake grass clippings for a neighbor
  • Drink at least 6-8 glasses of H2O a day
  • Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night

Frozen Fruit Kabobs

You’ll need: utility knife, popsicle sticks or kabob sticks, cookie sheet

Use any of your favorite fruit, such as:
- pineapple
- banana
- berries
- grapes
- cantaloupe or other melons

Directions

  1. Wash the fruit, and peel if needed
  2. Cut the fruit into bite-sized
    pieces
  3. Put several kinds of fruit onto the
    sticks
  4. Lay the kabobs on a cookie sheet
  5. Put them into the freezer for
    several hours
  6. Take out and eat
